HECKLES

Heckel Discus were the first Discus to ever be found and brought back to civilization back in the 1800's. THe one characteristic that tells you that it is a Haeckel is the large band in the middle of the fish. There is no need to worry, it may look like a stress bar, but it is not. It is there on purpose. Heckels are cheaper than most of the Hybrids but are more demanding in the water parameters.
